A Release Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing software releases across environments, ensuring smooth, timely, and risk-mitigated deployments. This role acts as the bridge between development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field

3–7 years of experience in release management/coordination / DevOps support

Experience in Agile / Scrum environments

Plan and manage end-to-end release cycles (build → test → deploy → monitor)

Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams for release readiness

Maintain and track release calendars and schedules

Ensure all release criteria and quality gates are met before deployment

Manage deployment activities across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod)

Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and conflicts

Handle release communication (status updates, stakeholder notifications)

Manage rollback and contingency plans

Track and report release metrics and KPIs

Ensure proper documentation and audit compliance

CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
